Artists:  Maria Colaco

Maria Colaco is originally from India. She was transplanted here at the age of 12. Maria started dancing in college at the age of 18 and went on to get her BFA in Modern Dance from the University of South Florida. While In Tampa, Maria performed with the Moving Current Dance Collective as well as Jobsite Theatre Company. At the University of South Florida, Maria received numerous awards for choreography and performance: ACE (Award for Choreographic Excellence) 2000, 2001,Victoria Catherine Seldon scholarship, and the Bill Hug scholarship of achievement. Her work has received high acclaims at the American College Dance Festival and Florida Dance festival. Her dancing has taken her to such far off lands as Bolivia, France and most recently India. Maria has worked with John Malashock, Claire Porter, Elsa Valbuena, Gretchen Ward- Warren, Lynn Wimmer and John Parks. Since moving to New York, Maria has had the pleasure of working with Bare Bones Dance, Axis Dance, The Wake Up Artists, and choreographed “ The Ruins” for the Sun and Splendor Theatre Company. In addition to presenting her own work Maria is working with Daniel Caldwell and the Leverage group (Ezra Caldwell) and Group 120 Theatre.

Carrie Malernee began her dance training in Delray Beach,FL. In 2002 Carrie received her B.S. in Dance Education from the University of South Florida. Here she began an emphasis on classical training, studying both modern dance and ballet intensively.

During here time in Florida, she danced professionally with modern dance company Moving Current for two years, and presented her own choreography in various concerts in the Tampa Bay area. Carrie also toured through La Paz, Bolivia in 2001 for the International Ties of Friendship Festival. Since relocating to New York she has been a member of Dixie Fun Dance Theatre, as well as MariaColaco:ingoodcompany. She enjoys creating and performing work that is innovative and fresh. Carrie recently traveled to Jacobs Pillow with KDNY Dance and performed in Washington in July 2004

Carin Moscicki is from upstate New York and has been dancing since the age of five.  She earned her BFA in dance from SUNY College at Brockport in 2002.  Carin currently lives in Brooklyn and has since had the opportunity to perform with Leanne Schmidt and Company, as well as perform some of her own choreography.
